A new build house, replacing a double garage at the end of a terrace of Edwardian period houses in Barnes, SW15.

The scheme respects the historic design and rhythm of the street, particularly in its façade, continuing the two-storey front bays with pitched roofs but interpreted in a contemporary style.

Designed to fit on a restricted and narrow 6m wide site, the house is planned over lower ground, ground and first and second floor levels. At ground level the house is open from front to back with views of the garden from the front entrance. A garden room is separated from the main living area with a bridge and double height spaces that bring light to the kitchen/dining area located at the lower ground level, which also houses a cinema room and utility spaces.

The master bedroom with en-suite has a vaulted ceiling celebrating the pitched bay roof, there is also a bedroom and family bathroom located on the first floor with a further bedroom in the second floor roof space.
