He is also a UK adaptation assessor for the ARB and a member of their competency standards group.
Witek Hewanicki, BA Dip Arch RIBA
As co-founder of DUO, Witek manages the day-to-day running of the practice, leading on design visualisation and modelling, photography and business development. His fresh, inventive approach to conceptual design and technical issues complements Andrzej’s experience.
Three years after establishing DUO, Witek juggled running a practice with completing his professional studies; graduating from the London Metropolitan University in 2016. During his year of professional practice in 2009-10, Witek worked alongside Andrzej at Foggo Associates and was involved in the developments at Drapers Gardens and Cannon Place.
Witek’s experience has also taken him abroad, having studied in Vienna under renowned late British Architect Will Alsop on the Erasmus Exchange Programme at the ‘Technische Universitat’, and by lending his design expertise to the Loki Hostels chain in South America, whilst on a sabbatical.
Witek looks after DUO’s network of consultants and contractors and coordinates collaboration opportunities to continue striving for excellence in design and management of projects.
